1. Why should I have my own online radio station?

2. Is there a monthly fee?
No, there’s no monthly fee. Just an annual cost of $199, which covers everything including hosting, streaming, and platform maintenance.
3. $199 yearly seems cheap, why so low?
TapTunes.FM was built by artists, for artists. Our goal isn’t to overcharge, it’s to make broadcasting affordable for everyone. By keeping things streamlined and automated, we can deliver full professional hosting and streaming for a fraction of what other platforms charge.
4. What file formats are supported?
Currently, TapTunes.FM supports MP3 files up to 20 MB each.
5. How many MP3 files can I upload with a basic package?
The basic plan allows you to upload up to 500 MP3 files, which you can organize and play in continuous rotation.
6. How often do songs repeat?
Stations are pre-programmed to not repeat a track for at least two hours, or until every uploaded track has been played once, whichever comes first.
7. Do the MP3 files need to be music only?
No, they can be anything you want, including voice messages, interviews, podcast segments, or your own self-created advertisements.
8. Is anything allowed?
While we fully support creative freedom, including NSFW content, we do not allow hate speech, harassment, or slanderous material. TapTunes.FM is a platform built on respect for artists, listeners, and the community.
9. How do I add songs to my station?
Use the “Uploads” tab in the Admin Panel. Upload your MP3 files, enter the artist and title, and TapTunes.FM automatically adds them to rotation.
10. How do I update my station info or logo?
Head to Settings to edit your station name, description, and upload your logo.
11. Who can access the Admin Panel?
Only verified admins with login credentials. You can add or remove users anytime under Settings.
12. How can I generate revenue?
To start, you can add a Stripe paylink for donations or tips. If you’re feeling ambitious, create jingles or voice-over ads for local businesses that want to support your station.
13. Once I purchase, how long does it take to set up?
Typically we set up your station and admin control panel within 48 hours of purchase. Once installed, you’ll receive a link and temporary password. After that, just upload your songs and logo, and you’re ready to roll.
14. Can I use my own or a custom domain name?
The basic station lives at https://taptunes.fm/your-station. You can easily forward any domain you own to that landing page.
