Texas-forged and Nashville-based, Kanude is a singer-songwriter, recording artist and producer whose creative journey has taken him from New York and Los Angeles to Berlin, Austin and now Nashville.

Known for his lyric-driven blend of rock and Americana he calls “Americronica,” Kanude has spent decades writing, recording, producing and performing original music. Along the way, his work has crossed into film and television, including music featured in HBO’s True Blood and The Tonight Show, as well as early work as a co-composer and music producer on Robert Rodriguez’s feature film debut, El Mariachi.

His creative catalog has continued to evolve through multiple projects and releases, including music under the names Val Holler and LightBody Sound. More recently, Kanude collaborated with Nashville’s legendary McCrary Sisters on “Born Again in Tennessee,” mixed by Grammy-winning producer Shooter Jennings.
