Singer-songwriter and recording artist Dangerous Doug Harper was one of the early artists to put his music on TapTunes® Instant Music Cards.

Based in Nevada, Missouri, Doug has spent decades writing, recording, performing and finding ways to support independent music. His career has taken him from radio and music production to years on the road with a touring country band, more than 2,000 live performances, and time spent immersed in Nashville's music scene.

But Doug's story has always remained closely connected to his hometown. A familiar face in the local music scene, he has dedicated years not only to performing his own music, but also to creating opportunities for other musicians and helping keep live music part of the community.

And he's still creating. Doug continues to perform and release original music, showing exactly what being an independent artist is about: writing the songs, finding the audience, building the community and continuing to make music on your own terms.
